Coaching para swimmers in a mainstream coaching environment
This CPD is designed to give coaches an overview of the potential barriers to participation and integration, the practical implications and considerations and potential adaptations that could be undertaken to ensure the effectiveness of coaching para-swimmers in a mainstream environment.
The CPD is for any coach or assistant coach over the age of 16 years, who is coaching para swimmers.

This CPD will enable you to identify key characteristics of learning difficulties that can impact on a participant’s ability to learn to swim. It gives examples of good practice as well as strategies and adaptions to teaching practices that will support participants. You will also be able to signpost children to the right environments to meet their needs and help them achieve their potential.
The CPD is for Level 2 swimming teachers over the age of 16 years.
This CPD provides 2 CIMSPA endorsed CPD points.

The aim of this CPD is to provide individuals with an introduction to supporting swimmers with Long Term Health Conditions. It is designed to be engaging throughout and ensures the individual obtains current up-to-date knowledge and aquatic adaptations around health conditions and tools to help improve the overall experience of aquatic activity programmes. The strength of this CPD lies in its co-production with health experts from Swim England’s Swimming and Health Commission group.
This CPD is aimed anyone over the age of 16 years inclusive of swimming teachers and assistants, coaching staff, pool operators, swim coordinators, managers, link workers, parents & carers, active partnerships health champions, school teachers and volunteers.
This CPD provides 4 CIMSPA CPD points endorsed against CIMSPA’s Working with People with Long Term Conditions Professional Standard.

The aim of this CPD is to provide individuals with current up-to-date knowledge, aquatic adaptations and tools to help improve the overall experience for pupils with SEND who attend a school swimming lesson.
This CPD is aimed at anyone over the age of 16 years inclusive of swimming teachers and assistants, coaching staff, pool operators, swim coordinators, schools teachers and staff delivering school swimming lessons and / or water safety programmes with SEND pupils.
This CPD provides 3 CIMSPA endorsed CPD points.
4.5 hours theory and 1.5 hours pool practical.

The aim of this CPD is to provide individuals with the basic knowledge required to effectively engage and interact with autistic children within a swimming lesson.
It is designed to be engaging throughout and ensures the individual obtains current up-to-date knowledge and adaptations to help improve the swimmers experience.
This CPD focuses on understanding autism, the challenges faced in swimming lessons, how to positively interact with autistic children and discussion on ways to make lessons engaging.
This CPD is aimed at anyone over the age of 16 years inclusive of swimming teachers and assistants, swim coordinators, schools teachers and staff delivering school swimming lessons.
This CPD provides 3 CIMSPA CPD points endorsed against CIMSPA’s Working Inclusively (working with disabled people) Professional Standard.
