The visually imapired friendly swimming online CPD will assist anyone who is delivering swimming activities with support, ideas and guidance on how to include people with a visual impairment.

Adult swimming

The adult swimming CPD has been developed with Swim England to help you prepare and deliver swimming lessons for adults. This workshop details the stages of the adult framework, some motivations and barriers for adults when thinking about learning to swim and how you can adapt the lesson to the individual needs of adult swimmers.

An introduction to disability swimming

This online workshop aims to give you an introduction to disability swimming. It covers best practice and how to support the inclusion of disabled people in swimming and swimming clubs.

This online CPD will help learners gain information on the difference between para-swimming and swimming with a disability, classification, integration and communication.

Competitive dives – fundamentals

This online module will provide you with an understanding of fundamental aquatic skills leading to the plunge dive, and will cover health & safety, progressive practices, early progressive dives and common faults and corrections.

Deaf friendly swimming

The National Deaf Children’s Society and Swim England have teamed up to create this resource. The deaf friendly swimming online CPD is an excellent tool for teachers and coaches to learn how to teach and coach a deaf swimmer and ensure that deaf and hard of hearing young people, are fully supported in accessing swimming sessions.

Contemporary issues

Contemporary issues is an online module aimed at technical officials from across swimming, water polo, synchronised swimming, diving and open water who would like to become a British Swimming licensed official, or who would like to renew their license. Contemporary issues is a condition of licensing.

The CPD is for qualified technical officials in one or more discipline.
