Four per cent rise in Swim England certificates issued

Latest News

Swim England has already issued more than 14,000 qualifications and CPD certificates in 2018 – a four per cent increase on the same period last year.

The national governing body for swimming passed the figure earlier this week.

And with eight out of ten people* choosing Swim England for their swim teaching and Continuous Professional Development qualifications, the organisation continues to strengthen its position as the market leader in this sector.

Qualifications start from the entry level Swimming Assistant, for those taking their first steps into becoming a swimming teacher, to the advanced Level 2 certificate.

And the learning doesn’t have to end there, with regular CPD courses also available to ensure teachers continue to update their knowledge and expand their skill sets throughout their careers.

Great for our sport

Simon Stevens, Head of Swim England Qualifications, said: “It’s great to see even more people gaining our qualifications or upskilling through CPDs accredited by Swim England – this can only be really positive for our sector and our sport.

“Ensuring swim teachers and assistants are trained and equipped to deliver the highest quality lessons right across the country is crucial – and at the heart of our philosophy.

“Swim England remains the clear market leader in the provision of swim teaching qualifications and CPD opportunities for the industry. We deliver the highest quality qualifications available through our established national network of Approved Training Centres, who support learners every step of the way in their journey to be the best swimming teachers.”
