Teaching Aquatics to Children with Learning Difficulties

Are you aware of the newly-accredited ‘Teaching Aquatics to Children with Learning Difficulties’ Continuous Professional Development (CPD) course?

This seminar has been developed to replace the previous ‘Working with Children with Educational Difficulties’ seminar.

It has been created by the Institute of Swimming and is aimed at Swim England Level 1 and Level 2 Swim Teachers/Assistants.

The seminar aims to:

• Identify key characteristics of learning difficulties that can impact on a participant’s ability to learn to swim
• Describe how to adapt teaching practices to support the participant
• Be able to share adaptations, good practice and experience
• Be able to signpost children to the right environments to meet their needs and help them achieve their potential.
