Effective sculling techniques and development into the four strokes

Swimming teachers will be aware of how beneficial sculling is to the swimming strokes. During this workshop, teachers will learn basic sculling techniques and how to use these effectively when teaching the four strokes.

The CPD is for Swim England Level 1 or 2 swimming teachers, or Level 2 coaches.

2 hours dry time, 1 hour wet time.

Introduction to teaching breaststroke

Covers breaststroke using the ‘BLABT’ principle. It looks at all aspects of breaststroke for the beginner swimmer and gives examples of good teaching points for each technical area.

The CPD is for Swim England Level 1 swimming assistants (teaching).

Introduction to teaching butterfly

Teaching turns – the basics

The workshop looks at the transferable skills needed for all turns. It then progresses to turns for each of the four strokes, looking at the elements that make up a turn and the different skills needed to perfect the turn.
