More than 10,000 certificates issued this year

Swim England has issued more than 10,000 qualifications and CPD certificates this year – and it’s only August!

Swim England Qualifications passed the figure last week and, as part of the national governing body for swimming, provides more than 80 per cent of swimming teaching qualifications in England (*Ofqual vocational qualifications dataset).

These start from the entry level Swimming Assistant course, for those taking their first steps into becoming a swimming teacher, to the advanced Level 2 qualification.

And the learning doesn’t have to end there, with regular Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses also available to ensure teachers continue to proactively update their knowledge and expand their skill sets throughout their careers.

A flexible approach to learning

Simon Stevens, Head of Swim England Qualifications, said: “It’s fantastic to know that we have already issued 10,000 certificates this year.

“It’s great testament to our team here and the hard work and passion of our Approved Training Centres (ATCs) across the country.

“In the last year our network of ATCs have delivered courses in more than 320 locations across England and Wales, and our flexible approach to learning gives people the opportunity to learn when and where it suits them.

“We are committed to providing the highest quality qualifications that support teachers and employers in providing the best possible experience for their swimmers. Here’s to the next 10,000!”
